Uncharted is an action-adventure third-person shooter platform video game series developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation consoles. The series follows treasure hunter Nathan “Nate” Drake as he travels around the world to uncover various historical mysteries. The game has been through some up’s and down’s when it comes to finding a movie director. Shouldn’t be that hard since the game’s story is so good!┬áSony has hired Shawn Levy to direct the Uncharted cinematic adaptation, according to Deadline.┬áHe’ll work off the latest draft of the script written by Joe Carnahan, who was originally interesting in directing the movie, but later decided to oversee Bad Boys for Life. The report also named Charles Roven, Avi Arad, Alex Gartner and Ari Arad as producers. In the game franchise, the stories are told in an order. Uncharted’s Release Date Pushed Back!
With the upcoming release of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Naughty Dog has pushed back the release by two weeks. Why the sudden change? In order to meet with worldwide demand of physical discs, the official release date has now been pushed to May 10, 2016. Although players will have to wait another two whole weeks before they can play and enjoy the story, this push back will give extra manufacturing time in order to meet with the high demand of physical copies.
