REVIEW: Phantom Carriage’s “Centennial Muis”

Phantom Carriage's "Centennial Muis"

Phantom Carriage’s “Centennial Muis” is a 100% Brett Wild Belgian Blonde, made right here in the South Bay. Phantom carriage is Brewery located in Carson, California. They are dedicated to the experimentation and the expansion of beer beyond the traditional style limitations. They age many of their beers in a diverse assortment of wine and spirit barrels obtained and fermented with developed cultures and years of trails and research.

One of their beers includes “The Muis with Centennial” is labeled as a tropical guava and papaya meld with citrus fruit leaving you with a sweet & tart finish. The ABV is 6.75%.

At first pour the beer has a hazed golden color with a thin white head. The smell was a sweet fruity smell (more like grapefruit and oranges).

On the first taste it’s a nice malt with enough hops to taste to citrus flavors. It’s very refreshing and very flavorful.

Rate the beer, I’d give it a 8/10. A great Belgian Blonde Ale, and a great addition to Phantom Carriage’s list of beers. The Beer is currently on tap right now. Visit Phantom Carriage at 8525 S Main St, Carson, California 90248. Tuesday-Thursday 11:30am to 10:00pm, Friday-Saturday 11:30am to 12:00am, and Sunday 11:00am-6:00pm.
