Square Enix announced the Japanese release date for the HD remaster of Final Fantasy XII. This rumor has been going on for a while now, and everyone was just waiting for the release date. As part of the growing trend to remaster all the games – Final Fantasy XII is getting its HD treatment as well. We can expect improved graphics, better high res backgrounds, and improved character models. You can find a full list of all the remastered goodies from Dual shockers.
The auto-save mode and the lower loading times are enough to entice me, I remember the loading times were brutal for this game. Final Fantasy XII was release in 2006 for the PlayStation 2, it was one of the last waves of games to be released for the aging PlayStation 2, the game was really high quality and polished, but as you moved from area to area you were hit with loading screens. I think this game is going to look gorgeous once it’s released, it already did back then, and now it’ll be even better.
Love it or hate it, this remaster all the games trend continues, whether it’s a marketing ploy to take all of our hard earned cash or just an opportunity to give old games new life and another chance to get gamers to experience it, is a matter for debate. But back to Final Fantasy XII HD remaster, check out the trailer released by Square Enix just to get your juices going.
