Another great Indie game lands on the PS4 platform. Lifeless Planet Premier Edition debuts today for the PS4 available through the Playstation Store. Lifeless Planet was developed by Stage 2 Studios, and Serenity Forge is taking care of publishing the game on the PS4 platform. Created by David Board, this project was funded by Kickstarter backers. Lifeless Planet is a third person action adventure with spectacular environments and a mysterious sci-fi story. While we don’t want to spoil anything, below is a brief description of the game:
While seeking life on a distant planet, an astronaut discovers an abandoned Russian town. He suspects his mission is a hoax until a mysterious young woman saves him from a strange and deadly phenomenon…
Harnessing the horsepower that the PS4 delivers, Lifeless Planet has been remastered to show off its world in all its glory. As a PS4 exclusive the main character model has been updated with more detail and double the resolution. I had my eye on this game on Steam, and a PS4 version wasn’t event expected. As I tend to play more on consoles than my PC, the PS4 version came as a big surprise for me here at The Exp Grind. Catch the trailer below for the PS4 reveal.
Another noteworthy mention about Lifeless Planet is that part of the sales go to support science education. As video games become more accepted as an art form. Indie games are great at telling a story in new and unique ways, and with Lifeless Planet, we might also learn something along the way. Integrating education with gaming is a philosophy that Stage 2 Studios and Serenity Forge share. Below are a couple of links on making games more meaningful.
