Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Episode 1 Available Now

The Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney episode 1 of the anime is available now, the episode was made available on Crunchyroll the morning of April 2nd, 4 a.m. PT to be precise. If you read our blog post on Top 5 Anime of Spring 2016, then you know that this anime is on our radars. Based on the highly popular games of the same name available on Nintendo’s 3DS platforms, this anime has lots of people excited. Each subsequent episode will be available on Crunchyroll every Saturday, and they will be offered in their original Japanese language with English subtitles. These stories will focus on the early beginnings of some of the more popular characters in the series, like Phoenix Wright, and Maya Fey among others. Below are the names of the characters in their Japanese form from the blog post by Capcom Unity:

  • Naruhodo Ryuichi (Phoenix Wright)
  • Mitsurugi Reiji (Miles Edgeworth)
  • Ayasato Mayoi (Maya Fey)
  • Ayasato Chihiro (Mia Fey)
  • Yahari Masashi (Larry Butz)
  • Itonokogiri Keisuke (Detective Gumshoe)
  • Auchi Takefumi (Winston Payne)

The description for the anime is below taken from Crunchyroll:

“Adapted from the popular video game franchise, Ace Attorney follows rookie lawyer Naruhodo Ryuuichi (Phoenix Wright) and his assistant Mayoi (Maya) as he defends his clients in a court of law. With limited evidence and logic as his only weapon, can Naruhodo turn the case around when all the odds are stacked against him?”
