Xbox One: Free Games for January 2017

The Xbox One Games with Gold January 2017 lineup was confirmed by Microsoft earlier this month and includes four games, two on Xbox One and two on Xbox 360.

The first to go live on Microsoft’s next-gen console is tower defense title World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap, followed by Killer Instinct: Season 2 Ultra Edition.

However, while Van Helsing is supposed to go live on January 1, 2017, it has now been confirmed that it can be downloaded right now.

All fans need to do is head over to the Microsoft Store and log into their account to have a chance of installing the title early.

The Express can confirm that by accessing your account through the Microsoft Store, you’ll have WOVH appear in your library in no time.

it is unclear if this is an error on Microsoft’s part or simply some festive goodwill towards Games with Gold subscribers.

With October’s Xbox Games with Gold lineup consisting of Super Dungeon Bros and Murdered Soul Suspect, Microsoft chose an open-world action game and a survival horror classic for December.

Microsoft decided to end the year on a high, with fans getting a genuine triple-A blockbuster in Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition and some unique gaming in Outlast.

Looking beyond the regular Xbox One offerings, Microsoft also gave subscribers access to Burnout Paradise, which is arguably the best games to grace both systems this month.

Games with Gold January 2017 doesn’t quite pack the same punch, although fight fans are bound to enjoy what is on offer.
